Interactive Intelligence Wants Your Outrageous Interactions


You know they’ve happened to you.

You've had an Outrageous Interaction with a customer. One of those bizarre conversations that you snicker about on your coffee break and share with your family over dinner. Now we’re asking you to share them with us.

We’re calling on contact center agents and managers to send us your most outrageous, funny, preposterous, wacky, shocking, zany customer interaction stories. We’re serious!

We’re collecting your over-the-top interaction stories and our judges will choose the MOST outrageous of them all. If you’re an agent or manager and your story is chosen, you’ll be rewarded with airfare and hotel accommodations for two to beautiful, serene Hawaii (again, we’re serious) where you can recover from the madness.

Not the agent or manager in an absurd interaction story, but still have a knee-slapping tale to tell? That’s ok. We’re collecting referrals, too. If you submit an outlandish story about a contact center agent or manager and your story is chosen as the MOST outrageous story of them all, we’ll pay you $500 and send the agent or manager in your interaction story to Hawaii.


THE SKINNY

Interaction stories can be based on any customer phone call, voice mail, email, letter, or web chat. All accounts of an interaction must be original, true and verifiable.

The winning submission will be published on the Interactive Intelligence and TMCnet.com web sites.

Submit your Outrageous Interaction story in writing
Narratives must be written in English, limited to 500 words or less, and in good taste—meaning free of vulgarity and offensive material.

Enter through August 31, 2008
Submit as many entries as you’d like. The winning entrant will be announced September 2008 and posted at www.inin.com and www.tmcnet.com.

Winner selected by panel of industry judges
The winning submission will be selected by a panel of call center industry experts with the contributions of the general public via an online voting site. Experts include Dr. Don Brown, president and CEO of Interactive Intelligence, Rich Tehrani, president and publisher of TMC, Claudia Hathway, editor of CCF and eCCF Magazine, Art Rosenberg, Principal Analyst & Syndicated Columnist of The Unified-View, and Blair Pleasant, President & Principal Analyst of COMMfusion LLC. (Panel is subject to change based on availability of judges.)
